Hennepin County Adult Representation Services Department

Legal aid program that offers legal counseling and/or representation for low-income individuals. Free or low cost legal services help people who are unable to afford a lawyer get access to the court system. MORE INFORMATION Provides advocacy to clients experiencing poverty in civil matters where they are entitled to an attorney. Phone or in-person interpreters are available. Contact by phone or email prior to coming into the office so that an interpreter can be arranged. The legal team has helped clients stay in their homes, reunite with their children, terminate longstanding guardianships, and avoid unnecessary civil commitments.
