For certain types of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Medicare requires the use of a supplier that has been awarded a contract under its Competitive Bidding Program. To determine if Medicare will pay for DME from a specific provider, check the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website to verify if they are a Medicare-approved supplier.
