DESCRIPTION: Tax assistance for eligible individuals Tax preparation help can include tax assistance, filling out forms, completing paperwork or filing taxes electronically MORE INFORMATION Provides free help preparing your federal and state tax returns at various locations in Minnesota Services are provided through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or AARP Tax-Aide programs. Both programs will only prepare basic tax returns. Software providers may offer free electronic filing of taxes based on income and other factors.

Eligibility

There are several programs for [free electronic filing](https://www.revenue.state.mn.us/free-electronic-filing), each has different income limits. AARP Tax-Aide sites do not have income or age restrictions.
