Family caregiver training and education focuses on building caregiver skills, dealing with stress and managing the caregiver role. Learn more about family caregiver costs that are covered through waivers in the Community-Based Services Manual. MORE INFORMATION Education sessions are designed to help family and friends develop the necessary skills and confidence needed to nurture and support the older adults with long-term health conditions that they are caring for. Sessions designed to help family and friends care for those with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Services include: * Memory care consultations * Increasing community awareness of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia's * Promoting early identification of dementia for those most at-risk * Providing caregivers of persons with dementia resources and information to help themselves remain healthy which in turn allows them to continue to care for their loved ones.
