Companionship programs provide volunteers to visit with people who are in the hospital, unable to leave their home, or socially isolated. Visitors provide conversation, reading or other social activities to help keep older adults or people with disabilities engaged. MORE INFORMATION The Companion Services program provides assistance with tasks so a client can stay in their home. Services may include: * Driving * Shopping * Planning meals * Respite assistance and socialization * Walking the dog, watering the plants The Visitors program provides weekly socialization through conversations and engagement.
