Legal Assistance - Asylum Project

DESCRIPTION: Legal aid program that offers legal counseling and/or representation for low-income individuals, typically in the areas of disability law, elder law and family law Free or low cost legal services help people who are unable to afford a lawyer get access to the court system. MORE INFORMATION Provides free legal help to people seeking asylum, unaccompanied children, people in immigration detention, and people who have been victims of human trafficking.

There is no fee for most services.

Eligibility

Household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines and live or are detained in Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
