  • Minnesotans over age 60 and who are within the income guidelines
  • Eligible individuals must prepare their own meals and cannot live in a facility that provides meals.
  • Disability status is not an eligibility factor for the program.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides a box of healthy and nutritious food products each month at no cost to eligible individuals over the age of 60. Participants receive a monthly food package containing the following items:
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Nonfat dry and shelf stable low-fat milk and locally made American cheese
  • Canned meat, chicken or fish, peanut butter, and dry or canned beans
  • Whole grains which include ready to eat breakfast cereal, rolled oats and brown rice
  • 100% juice with no sugar added
  • Educational newsletters on older adult nutrition are provided at least quarterly
