Fees
There is no fee for wards referred by Itasca County Health and Human Services. ElderCircle is able and willing to take on private guardianship for a small fee, which would typically come out of the person's estate.

Guardians and conservators are appointed by the court. They are chosen to make personal or financial decisions for someone who has been judged as unable to make these decisions for themselves, due to illness or other conditions. They are responsible to make some or all personal decisions for an individual and/or the management of their estate. MORE INFORMATION Serves as dedicated trained court-appointed guardians for individuals 50+ who need help making daily life decisions. Most program participants have no family, or family is not the best choice, and have been found unable to make daily decisions for themselves. Does not provide any financial conservatorships.
