Description
Program that maintains a list of private attorneys and can connect people who need legal services to attorneys that can help them. Examples of specialty areas are family law, elder law, immigration law and real estate law. MORE INFORMATION The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) provides attorney referrals to a private lawyers who practices in the appropriate area of law and is conveniently located. Attorneys possess a requisite level of experience, are insured, and are in good standing with the lawyer's professional responsibility board. Will also refer to appropriate government, pro bono, and social service agencies. Note: Referral counselors are not attorneys but can help clarify legal issues.
