DESCRIPTION: County programs for families with children include: * Diversionary Work Program (DWP) (https://mn.gov/dhs/people-we-serve/children-and-families/economic-assistance/income/programs-and-services/diversionary-work-program.jsp): A four-month program that helps to support Minnesota parents while they find jobs * Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) (https://dcyf.mn.gov/programs-directory/child-care-assistance-program): Helps families with low incomes pay for child care while they go to work, look for work or attend school * Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) (https://mn.gov/dhs/people-we-serve/children-and-families/economic-assistance/income/programs-and-services/mfip.jsp): Helps families in poverty with children through a cash grant, food assistance and employment services * Parent Support Outreach (https://mn.gov/dhs/people-we-serve/children-and-families/services/child-protection/programs-services/parent-support-outreach.jsp): Voluntary, early intervention program for at-risk families with children (prenatal - 10 years) that supports access to needed services.
