DESCRIPTION: Program that works on behalf of individuals and/or groups to make sure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible MORE INFORMATION Elder advocates work on behalf of older adults, their caregivers and families to solve aging-related problems: * Quality of Care: Advocates investigate care, vet and recommend care partners, identify appropriate care settings, prepare short and long-term plans for care, coordinate care services and advocate to assure the best outcomes * Dementia: Advocates provide coaching, resources and guidance to families and caregivers * Benefits, bills and claims: Advocates help review and resolve disputes regarding medical bills, insurance claims and benefits, such as medical assistance, veteran benefits and disability
