Learn more about a specific topic and how to connect to additional resources and services. MORE INFORMATION The US Access Board is an independent federal agency. It works to make buildings, technology and other equipment accessible to people with disabilities. It provides:
  • Leadership in accessible design
  • Development of guidelines and standards on how to make things accessible
  • Information, training, and technical assistance on the rules about accessible design in new construction and alterations
  • Investigation of complaints from the public filed under the Architectural Barriers Act, which requires that federally-funded facilities be accessible
