Free or Low-Cost Medical Flights

Eligibility

To qualify for flight help, adults or children needing transportation must meet all of the following:
  • Have financial need for assistance
  • Be able to fly in a non-pressurized small aircraft
  • Be ambulatory
  • Provide your own transportation to and from airport and treatment facility
  • Luggage is limited to a total of 50 pounds
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • Need no medical assistance during the flight
  • Not have a communicable disease
  • Allow up to 7 - 10 working days for Angel Flight Central (AFC) to coordinate all aspects of the flight
  • Read and understand Angel Flight Central's security protocol

8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Site Service Area

Serves passengers residing in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana. Networks with other charitable aviation organizations to serve passengers who may live outside its 10-state region.

  • Free / no cost to eligible clients
Provides help to fly patients, personnel or equipment to healthcare facilities. Flights are typically provided by volunteers. Programs can also support these services through donations or informational resources. MORE INFORMATION Matches qualified volunteer pilots with persons in need of access to long-distance medical care, or for reasons of compassion or community service The volunteer pilots meet the individual at the community airport closest to their home. Passengers can receive flight service throughout their entire healing process.
