Blind or visually impaired support services offer direct support to people who are blind, deaf-blind or with low vision. Programs may teach Independent Living Skills (ILS) to people with a visual impairment. MORE INFORMATION At State Services for the Blind (SSB) they help people who are blind, visually impaired, DeafBlind, experiencing vision loss, or have difficulty accessing the printed word, to live and work as independently as possible. At offices statewide, their services include training people to adjust to blindness and vision loss, exploring assistive technology, and teaching adults how to prepare for, find and keep jobs.
