- Age 62+
- Own your own home in Douglas county and live there full-time
- Provide proof of insurance on the home
- Income falls below 80% of the median income for Douglas County

Adaptations to your home to remove barriers for people with disabilities or age-related concerns. Modifications may include wheelchair ramps, grab bars, door widening, lowering countertops and other changes to make life easier and safer. Work can range from simple changes, like replacing doorknobs with pull handles, to major structural projects such as bathroom re-design.

The Aging in Place program provides trained volunteer assistance to make improvements to the safety, accessibility and minor repairs of their homes.
Services may include:
- Installing handrails and grab bars
- Stair gates
- Shower chairs
- Raised toilet seat
- Installing walk-in showers or converting tubs
- Widening doorways
