Mobile crisis teams will respond to crises in Hennepin County, 24/7/365. Adults call (612) 596-1223 and for children call (612) 348-2233. Call (612) 596-9438 to schedule an appointment. To be assessed for services, call Hennepin County at (612) 348-4111, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. You will speak with a social worker who will help you identify your needs. If your child is not covered by insurance or if you are having difficulty requesting mental health services for your child, call Front Door Access at (612) 348-4111. If your child is covered by insurance, contact your insurance company to find out whether a diagnostic assessment is covered under your policy, and which mental health professionals are in your coverage network.

Description
Mental Health Clinics provide outpatient mental health services for individuals with mental or emotional disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Services include: * Intake and case assignment * Mental health evaluation including assessment and diagnostic process * Treatment planning * Counseling services, consultation and individual therapy case review * Access to emergency service * Access to hospital admission Some providers also provide rehabilitative mental health services, and some may also provide services to persons with developmental disabilities, alcoholism or substance abuse. Mental Health Clinics also provide educational, informational, and preventive services to the community. The mental health team includes: * Licensed physician who has completed an approved residency program in psychiatry * Doctoral clinical, counseling, or health care psychologist * Clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university or clinical psychiatric nurse with a master's degree MORE INFORMATION The Outpatient Mental Health Center serves adults with serious mental illness, including those who struggle with substance use disorders. The Center also serves children and adolescents who are severely emotionally disturbed, have been abused or neglected, or have been court ordered for a psychological evaluation. Services may include: * Diagnostic assessments * Psychiatric evaluation and medication management * Psychological and parenting evaluations * Individual and group psychotherapy * Primary care for adult clients who are active in mental health treatment * Rule 25 assessments * Pharmacy services * Laboratory services * Help applying for health insurance * Supported employment services * Care coordination
