Adaptations to your home to remove barriers for people with disabilities or age-related concerns. Modifications may include wheelchair ramps, grab bars, door widening, lowering countertops and other changes to make life easier and safer. Work can range from simple changes, like replacing doorknobs with pull handles, to major structural projects such as bathroom re-design. Learn more about home accessibility modification costs that are covered through waivers in the Community-Based Service Manual. MORE INFORMATION Volunteers will make minor repairs to your home, install grab bars in your bath or entry and build exterior ramps to access the home.
