Legal Assistance - Legal Access Point

DESCRIPTION: Legal aid program that offers legal counseling and/or representation for low-income individuals, typically in the areas of disability law, elder law and family law Free or low cost legal services help people who are unable to afford a lawyer get access to the court system. MORE INFORMATION Legal Access Point provides volunteer attorneys who offer brief advice on a walk-in basis. Members of the public with general legal questions are able to speak with attorneys and receive 15-20 minutes of brief advice. Walk-in appointments are offered weekdays at the Self-Help Center of the Hennepin County Government Center (300 S. 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55419) and one Monday a month at the Brookdale courthouse.
