Transportation - Dial-a-Ride

DESCRIPTION: Transportation program that provides rides for people in and around their community. MORE INFORMATION Provides dial-a-ride services with route deviation to residents of Becker County Door-to-door service provided to passengers with special needs (this means the service will come to the door of your home to help a rider into the bus). Buses are wheelchair accessible. Riders using walkers or having problems can utilize the electric lift to access bus if they wish.

Application process

Call to schedule a ride a day or two ahead of time. Riders who live more than 5 miles out of Detroit Lakes should always give one day's notice.

Fee

All riders are charged the same fare. The Transit fare is $1.50 per 5-mile increment, i.e., Audubon $3.00, Frazee $4.50 No fare is required for children in car seats. Escorts assisting disabled riders are not required to pay (for medical appointments only)
