Application process

First time riders need to go through an intake process. Dispatchers are on duty from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Phones are answered live between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Voicemail is available 24/7. Make ride requests as early as possible by calling (320) 364-1350, by email, or using the online request form. Bus reservations need to be made a day in advance to allow the dispatchers to build efficient routes. For Common Carrier services, three (3) day advance notice is recommended.

Fees

Dial-a-ride: In-town bus rides are $1.50 one way, $3.00 round trip. Out-of-town bus rides are $2.50 one way, $5.00 round trip. Common Carrier: Private pay

  • Buses pick you up where they live or work
  • When you call for a reservation, you will be asked to allow a window of time for the bus to come
  • Caretakers accompanying passengers who require assistance into buildings or to appointments ride free of charge.

Common Carrier services include volunteer drivers providing transportation to nonemergency medical appointments, therapy, counseling and dental appointments. The Common Carrier program compliments the Public Transit Service – the Public Transit Service provides these rides locally, within the public transit service design. The Common Carrier Service provides those rides that go out of the local service area – to the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Duluth and Brainerd etc.
