Description
Adaptive driving programs teach people how to drive a car or other vehicle that has been modified for their disability. MORE INFORMATION Driver evaluation and training for use of adaptive driving equipment for drivers with physical, visual and cognitive disabilities. Services offered on-site at your home, hospital or rehabilitation facility On-road instruction and training can be done in a regular car or specialized vehicle. All vehicles are equipped with an instructor brake, and if needed, a full range of adaptive driving controls are also available. * Instruct in use of adaptive equipment * Refresh driving skills * Instruct new drivers * Teach driving modifications and defensive driving * Develop confidence for independent driving * Follow-up training in client's modified vehicle * Prepare for Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) road test
