Eligibility

Adults 60 and older in Carver, Hennepin, Sherburne and Wright county service area. Services cover the cities of: Albertville, Becker, Big Lake, Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Buffalo, Champlin, Crystal, Deephaven, Delano, Eden Prairie, Edina, Elk River, Excelsior, Golden Valley, Greenwood, Hanover, Hopkins, Long Lake, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Minnetonka Beach, Monticello, Mound, New Hope, Orono, Osseo, Otsego, Plymouth, Richfield, Robbinsdale, Rockford, Rogers, Shorewood, Spring Park, St. Michael, St. Louis Park, Tonka Bay, Wayzata, Woodland and Zimmerman.

Fees

Offers services based on a sliding fee scale. This means seniors contribute to the cost of the service based on their monthly income and ability to pay. No one is denied service based on ability to pay. Title III grant funding is available for Hennepin, Sherburne and Wright county residents.

Description

Chore services to help provide minor indoor and/or outdoor home repair and maintenance or handyman work to help keep homes safe. MORE INFORMATION Offers minor home repair help with projects like: * Repairing or replacing faucets, toilets, and garbage disposals * Repairing or replacing outlets, light switches, fixtures & ceiling fans * Checking or replacing smoke alarms/batteries and light bulbs * Minor carpentry projects * Small painting projects Offers home safety checks to assess your home and recommend repairs, assistive devices or other tips to help you avoid falls, reduce fire hazards and maintain independence.
