Eligibility

Criteria for choosing families:
  • Currently reside in inadequate housing (overcrowded, substandard, cost-burdened, or temporary)
  • Lived or worked in Douglas County for at least a year
  • Income requirements and ability to pay
  • Willingness to partner

8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Call (320) 762-4255 to get your name on the list to receive an application when the window opens or fill out an Homeownership Application Inquiry form online.

Fees

Homeowners make regular monthly mortgage payments, which are recycled to help build more Habitat homes

Homeowners purchase the homes with affordable mortgage payments. Both volunteers and homebuyers help build and repair the home.
