Offers assistive technology devices and adaptive equipment that can help people with disabilities communicate, increase their mobility and live more comfortably. Learn more about assistive technology costs that are covered through waivers in the Community-Based Services Manual. MORE INFORMATION Provides free equipment and training to people with both significant vision and hearing loss who meet disability and income guidelines. There is a wide range of equipment available. Some examples include:
  • Accessories like specialized keyboards, mounts, switches, headsets, and other support devices
  • Braille devices

  • Mobile devices
  • Landline phones
  • Screen readers
  • Signalers
  • Software
Professionals in each state help determine the equipment needed by an individual. Equipment training is also available.
