This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence. Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic and sexual violence education and prevention. MORE INFORMATION Advocates provide help from the time of an incident, through the court process, and emergency shelter period, if needed, until women and families are able to live independently in their own safe new homes. Criminal Justice Intervention advocates provide advocacy to victims who have an active case in the justice system and monitor the system's response to domestic abuse at all stages of the process. On-Scene Advocates are called to the scene of a domestic violence incident by law enforcement when police are called out for a domestic incident. On-Scene Advocates provide immediate assistance to victims, and to law enforcement. The Prevention and Education Program provides professional training, presentations, support groups, outreach.
