Non-governmental energy assistance program that helps pay for home utilities, such as natural gas, oil, propane or electricity MORE INFORMATION Provides discounts on heating and electricity bills for qualified in low-income households. Offers affordability programs:
  • Xcel Energy electric and gas bill discounts, including the Medical Electric Affordability program
  • Greater Minnesota Gas company financial assistance or prior bill forgiveness
Offers the Power On and Gas Affordability Program to receive a discount on a portion of their monthly electric bill and monthly gas bill Offers an Energy Cents Conservation Program program:
  • Available for Xcel Energy gas and electric customers
  • Energy audits for homeowners in the East Metro
  • May include conservation improvements including: insulate attics and walls, air sealing, replacement of furnace or boiler, water heater replacement
  • CenterPoint Energy gas customers
  • Energy audits for rental properties with low income residents
