People living in Hastings School District 200 who are in temporary crisis or experiencing a hardship in providing food for themselves and their family.

Site Service Area

Residents who live within the boundaries of School District 200. This area includes the cities of: Hastings, Hampton, New Tier, Miesville and Vermillion and portions of these townships: Denmark, Douglas, Hampton, Marshan, Nininger, Ravenna, Vermillion and Welch townships

Food is distributed to those who need it. The emergency food is typically made available through donations. MORE INFORMATION Market Food Shelf provides a week's supply of groceries. * A full food shelf order can be scheduled once per month. * In-person shopping or pre-packed drive-up options are available Tuesday - Friday Market Express drive-thru food pick up is offered on scheduled days through the month and includes a 3 - 4 day supply of food * Advance sign-up is required Market Cart provides fresh produce delivered to seniors participating in Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS), receiving Meals of Wheels through Hastings Family Service or residing at one of the Hastings senior communities (Mississippi Terrace, Oak Ridge Manor, Rivertown Courts, The Quill Senior Living) as well as the Hastings Senior Center. Market on the Move is a mobile food outreach program in Hastings area communities. The Mini Market offers a variety of food items 12:30pm - 3:00pm, Tuesday - Friday.
