Legal Assistance - Power-Up Legal Clinic

DESCRIPTION: Legal aid program that offers legal counseling and/or representation for low-income individuals, typically in the areas of disability law, elder law and family law Free or low cost legal services help people who are unable to afford a lawyer get access to the court system. MORE INFORMATION Provides free legal advice and resources at a free walk-in legal clinic Services are provided twice per month, in person or over the phone. Legal issues including: * Landlord and tenant or property * Divorce, parenting time, custody, or other family law issues * Debt collection * Impounded car * Purchase or service contracts * Probate * Employment * Simple wills and health care directives * Any other civil legal issues Does not assist with criminal law issues.

Application process

Provided on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The legal clinic phone is not answered daily. Clients can call and leave a message between clinic dates. Intake staff will return the call before the next clinic date.
