CHUM - Duluth - Emergency Shelter Center

Drop-in centers provide a space for homeless individuals to spend time and connect with services. Spaces are typically open during the day or evening hours. MORE INFORMATION The Churches United in Ministry (CHUM) Center is a day shelter offering a safe, environment to homeless and low-income people. The Center provides: * Shower and laundry facilities * Internet access * Local phone use and message service * Storage lockers * Free coffee and snacks * Meals (hot lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, breakfasts on Wednesdays and community meals on days when other local hot meal programs are closed) * Community room for visiting or quiet relaxation * Recreational opportunities Medical and pharmacy student volunteers from University of Minnesota - Duluth offer some clinic services. They provide: * Blood Pressure checks * Pulse oximeter * Healthcare Advice * Pharmacy Care * Physical Exams * Referrals for further health care follow ups * Referrals for social services and health care access * Lab Tests: Blood glucose
