Provides information about different types of law, the criminal justice system or other legal topics MORE INFORMATION The Minnesota Legal Risk Detector is a free, easy-to-use screening tool designed to identify common legal risks that can affect the health, safety, and independence of older adults. The Risk Detector is intended for adults age 60 and older living in Minnesota.
  • If the responses indicate an issue that falls within the priorities of a regional legal aid program, you will have the option to submit a referral so the individual can apply for free legal help. It is entirely optional to request legal assistance at the end.
  • A resource sheet can be printed or emailed for future reference.
  • No personal identifiers are stored during the screening.
