Eligibility
To receive help accessing a pension, the individual or the former employee must meet one of the following:
  • Live in the 5 state area (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota)
  • Previously worked in the 5 state area
  • Benefit is administered in the five state area

Nationwide The Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project is the division of the national organization serving Minnesota

Program that works on behalf of individuals and/or groups to make sure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible MORE INFORMATION Advocates for the retirement security of workers, retirees and their families Offers assistance getting pensions for eligible people Information includes:
  • Learn the Issues - legislation, current topics, regulations, court cases
  • Get the Facts - statistics and facts about pensions and retirement income
  • Take Action - information about how to impact pension legislation and reform

The pension counseling project for Minnesota Residents is the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project (UMPRP).
