Transportation - Grocery and Errands

Eligibility

Must be at least 55 years old or have a disability and live in South Minneapolis Area boundaries: Franklin to Cedar Avenue to Crosstown to France Avenue

Application process

Participants receive a weekly phone call to place their orders and groceries are delivered to their doorstep by the Grocery Program Coordinator.

Fees

$5 per round trip to defray costs are appreciated but not mandatory.

South Minneapolis from 8th St downtown to south crosstown 62 and Mississippi river on the east to France Ave on the west Does not include Richfield, Bloomington and Edina

Transportation program that provides rides for people in and around their community. Learn more about transportation costs that are covered through waivers in the Community-Based Service Manual. MORE INFORMATION They have shifted from providing rides to online ordering and delivery of groceries. The grocery transportation service provides transportation for older adults so they may shop independently for food at grocery stores and food shelves. The errand service provides transportation for older adults in the community so they may access locations such as the bank, post office, hardware store and/or pharmacy.
