Eligibility

All participants must be an enrolled member of any tribe aged 60 or over, living within the Lower Sioux Indian Health Service (IHS) service area. Eligibility also includes:
  • The spouse, or significant other; residing in the home, aged 60 or over, of an eligible participant.
  • Individual with a disability in the same household of the eligible participant who accompanies the participant to the congregate meal site
  • Non-elderly disabled American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiians who reside in tribal housing facilities identified as being primarily occupied by elders where congregate nutrition services are provided
  • Volunteers who provide assistance during the meal hour to the program

Application process

To reserve a meal, please call a day prior to the meal (507) 697-8016 for meal delivery or if you are dining at the Jackpot. Meal Site: Jackpot Junction Casino & Hotel 39375 County Hwy 24 Morton, MN. Dining Room located on second floor, but may vary. Please look for room location daily on signage and screens throughout Jackpot Junction Hotel.

Hot, well-balanced meals are available to older adults at congregate dining sites. Fresh meals may be served as group dining or packaged and available for take-out. MORE INFORMATION The Lower Sioux Elder Nutrition Program offers congregate or home-delivered meals once per weekday for reservation residents who qualify.
