Respite provides care on a short-term basis for a person who cannot take care of themselves, and who is usually taken care of by a family member or friend. The service is designed to provide temporary coverage for the caregiver during an absence or need for relief. Learn more about this service when paid for under the waivers or the Alternative Care program in the Community-Based Services Manual. MORE INFORMATION The Gathering is an in-person group respite program. The group provides activities and social engagement for adults with early to mid stage memory loss, allowing their family caregivers a break. The Gathering is offered at:
  • Lyngblomsten Como Park campus in St. Paul: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
  • Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
