Eligibility
Service area includes Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock counties. Rides outside the service area may be possible, depending upon the availability of volunteer drivers.
Application process
No matter what kind of transportations you need, call a dispatcher between 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. They will match you to the right service. Dispatch numbers:

Community Transit bus fare rates: Route: $1 per person per trip Dial-a-Ride: $2 - $5 per person, per trip

Transportation program that provides rides for people in and around their community. Learn more about transportation costs that are covered through waivers in the Community-Based Service Manual. MORE INFORMATION Transit services are for everyone who needs a ride in Southwest Minnesota. Community Transit is a shared ride program. All trips will be coordinated to include as many passengers as possible based on their pick-up and drop-off locations.
  • Public transit buses are lift accessible.
  • Provides Dial-a-Ride service with door-to-door and curb-to-curb service available.
A volunteer driver program is also available, which can take people to out-of-area locations.
  • Rides are dependent upon the availability of volunteer drivers.
  • Wheelchair accessibility is generally not available for volunteer rides, except in Lincoln County, where two wheelchair accessible, volunteer-driven vans are available.
