Respite
DESCRIPTION: Respite provides care on a short-term basis for a person who cannot take care of themselves, and who is usually taken care of by a family member or friend. The service is designed to provide temporary coverage for the caregiver during an absence or need for relief. MORE INFORMATION Provides family support Saturday Fun Respite Events, a monthly program for families who are caring for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Young people (ages 5 and older) with special needs who live at home with their families are welcome to join the event on the second Saturday of the month for a couple hours of crafts, games, outdoor activities and snacks.
