Shelter offering a safe space for battered women, their families and others who have experienced domestic abuse MORE INFORMATION Cornerstone's Emergency Shelter is a 35-bed shelter for those in danger of domestic violence. The shelter provides family living spaces, including a handicap-accessible unit, a teen room, a youth room and a woman's lounge. Laundry facilities and telephones are also available. The shelter provides:
  • Basic necessities including meals, toiletries, clothing, school supplies, and transportation
  • Access to Cornerstone's legal, supportive, housing, parenting and therapy services
  • Shelter staff can help residents address their current situation, make goals, and consider options for the next step.
The emergency shelter welcomes women, female-identified and gender nonconforming adults. Their children are also welcome during their shelter stay. Male-identified adults receive safe and comfortable alternative housing while using Cornerstone's services. All services, including safe housing, are available whether you identify as LGBTQI+ or gender nonconforming.
