The Ombudsperson Office works works with people who have Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare and who are enrolled in a managed health care plan.
The ombudsperson can:
- Help you navigate and understand your health care coverage
- Help you identify your options
- Help you understand your rights
- Help you communicate and work with your health plan
- Help you with access, service and billing questions
- Explain how to file a health plan grievance, health plan appeal or state appeal (fair hearing with the state)
- Help you navigate the health care system
