The Ombudsperson Office works with people who are enrolled in a managed health care plan for their Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare benefits. The ombudsperson can:
  • Help you navigate and understand your health care coverage
  • Help you communicate and work with your health plan
  • Help you identify your options
  • Help you understand your rights
  • Help you with access, service and billing questions
  • Provide education on navigating the health care system
  • Inform members about the process for filing a grievance, health plan appeal and state appeal
