DESCRIPTION: Legal aid program that offers legal counseling and/or representation for low-income individuals, typically in the areas of disability law, elder law and family law Free or low cost legal services help people who are unable to afford a lawyer get access to the court system. MORE INFORMATION Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid gives legal help to people in poverty and to people of any income level age 60 or older or living with disabilities. Legal aid services include: * Debt collection and unfair loans * Disability-related cases * Divorce when child custody is an issue * Domestic violence * Elder abuse * Housing discrimination and evictions * Immigration and citizenship * Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax issues Monthly senior wills clinics are held on the second Wednesday of the month * The [events calendar](https://mylegalaid.org/events) shows upcoming clinics. * Call 612-334-5970 to make an appointment At the monthly Wills Clinics attorneys help with: * Allocation (wills) * Power of Attorney * Health Care Directives * Transfer on Death Deeds

Eligibility

Low-income or elderly Minnesota residents. Criminal and personal injury (or any case where there would be damages awarded) cases are not eligible. Senior Wills Clinics are available by appointment for seniors 60 and older
