HERO (Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization)

Program that accepts donations of medical equipment or assistive technology from the general public. Donated items may be re-sold at low cost, or loaned or given freely to those in need. Donations of healthcare supplies and medical equipment are accepted from individuals and medical facilities. The agency maintains a healthcare accessory store to help those in the Fargo-Moorhead area in need of medical supplies. It also provides equipment and supplies to medical missions globally. Commonly donated items include:

• Mobility and motorized items like canes, crutches, wheelchairs, walkers
• Bathroom safety items like bath stool, raised toilet seat, commode
• Wound care and personal hygiene like incontinence supplies, bandages, dressings, gloves
