Maria Paschke

Research and Outreach Coordinator

Maria Paschke is a Research and Outreach Coordinator with the MN State Demographic Center. Maria assists with research, communications, office-wide coordination, and initial preparations for the 2020 Census.

Before joining the MN State Demographic Center, Maria worked at the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development on the Performance Measurement team. She assisted in designing and reporting on survey projects to improve DEED programming, particularly for clients of color. Prior to this, Maria also worked for several nonprofits in youth development and family services doing consulting, training, communications, as well as direct service. As her professional experiences have focused on social inequalities, she is excited to promote how demographic data shapes areas such as education, housing, and employment to help improve well-being for vulnerable Minnesotans.

A current graduate student at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Maria is concentrating in Public and Nonprofit Management with an emphasis in public services re-design. She earned her bachelor's degree from Macalester College, where she majored in Political Science and Urban Studies.
