Human-centered Design in CI

Course Overview

Are you looking for customer-focused tools to create new and innovative problem-solving solutions? Human-centered Design (HCD) is a process that starts with the customers you serve and ends with new solutions that are focused on customer needs.

In this course you will learn to understand a problem from the most important perspective...your customer! You will practice how to integrate the customers experience in every step of a problem-solving process.

This course was designed to be highly interactive! Learners will be asked to participate and immerse themselves in a case study to practice HCD tools and concepts.

Course Objectives

  • Develop a better understanding of the Human-centered Design process
  • Understand how HCD is integrated into CI problem-solving work
  • Learn how developing empathy for your customer will lead to designing a solution that best meets their needs
  • Build your skills with CI tools that incorporate HCD principles

None.

Training Length

Approximately three and a half hours.

There is no cost for public sector employees to attend this training.
