Join us to celebrate One Year Out ‘til Census Day on April 1, 2019

April 1, 2019, marks one year out from Census Day 2020, and we're celebrating with an event from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Please join us to show your support for a complete count for Minnesota! We want to showcase all of the people and communities across Minnesota who are stepping up to make sure everyone in Minnesota is counted in 2020.

RSVP not required but appreciated



10 a.m. Meet State Demographic Center staff at the Centennial Office Building Cafeteria to get 2020 Census kickoff shirts and signs and walk over to the Capitol. The Centennial Office Building Cafeteria, (ground floor,) is in the Capitol complex, 658 Cedar Street North, St. Paul 55155.

11 a.m. Rally at the Capitol! Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan will speak about the importance of the 2020 Census and how we can all work together to ensure every single person in Minnesota is counted in the 2020 Census.

The rally will take place on the Capitol steps. In case of bad weather, the event will be held in the Capitol rotunda. Information about parking at the Capitol can be found here.
