Client and Provider Assistance

The Office of Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (OMHDD) has experienced staff who will work to provide answers to questions and assistance from a Client/Ombudsman perspective. The OMHDD is available to provide assistance to persons receiving services or treatment for mental illness, developmental disabilities, chemical dependency, or emotional disturbance. The OMHDD may also give input on appropriate services to agencies, facilities or programs which serve clients of the OMHDD.

The OMHDD staff can explore and discuss alternatives that may better meet the needs of the client. With proper documentation, the OMHDD has statutory authority to review records which can assist in the resolution of client issues.
