Training Opportunities available:

Check Point (Pointsec) Training Service

Check Point (formerly PointSec) administrator training is provided free of charge to OET customers who are responsible for deploying and maintaining this security software. Training courses are facilitated by Metro State University's Center for Strategic Information Technology and Security. Participants can attend either of the two courses listed below:

Course CP01
Check Point Full Disk Encryption (FDE) Administration and Deployment
This hands-on one-day course covers the features and capabilities of Check Point's Full Disk Encryption (FDE) product (formerly known as Pointsec) and uses a lab-based approach to installation, configuration and troubleshooting. You will be able to explore various options for deployment suitable for your specific environment.

Course CP02
Check Point Media Encryption (ME) Administration and Advanced Full Disk Encryption
This hands-on one-day course is covers the features and capabilities of Check Point's Media Encryption (ME) product (formerly known as Protector) and uses a lab-based approach to deployment, management, security and recovery. In the afternoon session, you will build on your FDE knowledge and skills addressing advanced topics and solutions.

Note: Course fees are provided at no cost, however costs associated with travel, meals and lodging are the responsibility of the participant or their employer.
