Classic Local Service

OET lets you 'off the hook' when it comes to setting up phone lines for your business.



Contracted Classic Voice services include local dial tone (centrex, business lines and residential lines), long distance and calling cards, conferencing, and realtime interpretation services, all provisioned through OET contracts to aggregate demand and drive down prices.

Offerings vary depending on your location and may include:

  • Residential lines

  • State long-distance
  • Custom features

Custom features are available at no charge and include: Caller ID, enhanced service features, and call intercept.

Business Lines

Business Line services are available using a worry-free process that includes value-added features like billing, service orders and repair. OET works with local telephone companies wherever Centrex is not available to set up lines throughout Minnesota and nationwide.

Residential Lines

Connect a home-based office to your business using State telephony. We work with the location’s local telephone company to set up local and long-distance service with the same value-added features as our Business Lines service.

Getting Started

Customer organizations should provide the telephone set and cabling for a line station.

Contact your organization’s purchasing group for information on State contracts available for telephone equipment and cabling.
