MN Student Wins National Poster Contest

April 26, 2012
Cyber Sec Winner 2012A 6th grade student from Transfiguration Catholic School in Oakdale, Minn., is one of 13 national winners of the "Kids Safe Online" Cybersecurity Awareness Poster Contest.

The contest is sponsored annually by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC), a division of the Center for Internet Security.

Students from the kindergarten to grade 12 levels from around the country were encouraged to enter the contest by creating a work of art related to the theme of staying safe on-line. Submissions are judged for their creativity and originality. A state panel selected six submissions from Minnesota students for consideration in the national contest.

The winning entries will be included in the upcoming MS-ISAC Calendar, which is printed for inclusion in the nationally-distributed Cyber Security Awareness Toolkit, and featured on the MS-ISAC website. The winning drawings are also used in related campaigns that raise awareness among children of all ages about Internet and computer safety.
