Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscaping Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design Licensure

The proposed rules of the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design relating to the licensure requirements of professional engineers and land surveyors and an applicant’s existing opportunity for oral examination in lieu of meeting established qualification standards, (Minnesota Rules, Parts 1800.0800, 1800.0900, 1800.2600, 1800.3600) have been assigned to Judge Manuel J. Cervantes.

 

As part of the rulemaking process, a public hearing was held on November 8, 2011 at in Suite 295, Golden Rule Building, 85 E. 7th Street Place, St. Paul, MN 55101, starting at 9:00 a.m.  During the hearing, a twenty calendar-day period was set for the receipt of written comments regarding the proposed rules. Thus, the initial deadline for the submission of written comments in this rulemaking proceeding was 4:30 p.m. on November 28, 2011 .

 

After the period for submission of written comments ends, state law provides the agency and all interested persons an additional period of five working days for filing a written response to any comments which were submitted during the initial comment period. New matters may not be introduced or raised during this five-day rebuttal period. The five-day rebuttal period will expire at 4:30 p.m. on December 5, 2011 .
