"Accessibility Is Key Part Of Building Design"

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN--By most accounts, Santiago Calatrava's new addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum is "breathtakingly beautiful".

And while it has a number of accessible elements, it's clear that Calatrava did not understand about universal design -- features that would have made the museum accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities.

Journal Sentinel columnist Whitney Gould followed two disability rights advocates around the museum to get their opinion of its design and barriers.
