Nominate a Bloomington Human Rights Hero

The Bloomington Human Rights Commission is accepting nominations for its annual Omar Bonderud Human Rights Award. Deadline is August 23, 2013. "The Omar Bonderud Award is presented by the Bloomington Human Rights Commission to an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to ensuring the rights of people in Bloomington. Omar Bonderud was the first Chairperson of the Bloomington Human Rights Commission, formed in 1968."

Commissioner Lindsey was proud to participate in last year's ceremony.

Olmstead Sub-Cabinet Meeting and Listening Session

Tomorrow, Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon, Human Rights Commissioner Kevin Lindsey, and the other members of the Olmstead Plan Sub-Cabinet will be in St. Paul to gather citizen input on the state's draft Olmstead Plan.
